This is an elegant solution for always having spreadable butter.  You fill the base with 1/2" of water which creates an airtight seal.  You pack cold butter tightly into the lid and place it in the water filled base. No need for refrigeration. Always enjoy spreadable butter! Dishwasher safe.  Handmade one of a kind!
